immigration “fairness”

I recently heard a co-worker state that “Muslims should receive an equal share of immigration VISA’s; that would be fair.” Well, my friend, I am here to tell you that immigration should NOT have fairness as it’s guiding light, and historically [ up till the Great Reform [not] of 1965 ] was not designed with fairness in mind, for good reason.

Immigration should benefit both the country receiving the immigrants, as well as benefiting the immigrant herself. Ironically, in the ONE & ONLY place where diversity should be a factor, it is not applied anymore. Currently a full 50% of legal immigrants to the U.S. are Hispanic, we receive 25% from Asia, and another 15% from Europe. We also have to factor in illegal immigration, since we are receiving more than 1 million illegal “squatters” each year. And of those illegal aliens, the overwhelmingly vast majority are of Hispanic origin. Where is your diversity there?

The main reason for diversity as it relates to incoming immigration is pretty clear – you don’t want to upset the social and ethnic fabric of the host country by having the majority of immigrants from one culture. And the reason for that is given is given by what I call “Kevin’s maxim” i.e, if you have enough immigrants from one culture, a critical mass if you will, those immigrants are going to clump together & resist assimilation [ a great topic for a future post ]. See: LA, Miami, San Antonio, etc., etc. If we don’t have assimilation, then we have a real problem.

While Miami may not in it’s entirety be rightly classified as a 3rd world within a first world, to paraphrase Tom Tancredo, certainly it is not what most would call a traditional American community.

It’s emphatically NOT only about being fair to the outside world waiting to immigrate, it’s about what is good for America. And looked at objectively, I firmly believe that the “Ellis Island model” is the only way to go. The goals of immigration that would be best for us, are not necessarily what is best for for others. And that’s OK – as far as immigration goes, we MUST put our own welfare as a country as a first priority.

One Response to “immigration “fairness””

  1. The age-old pesky U.S.-Mexico border problem has taxed the resources of both countries, led to long lists of injustices, and appears to be heading only for worse troubles in the future. Guess what? The border problem can never be solved. Why? Because the border IS the problem! It’s time for a paradigm change.

Never fear, a satisfying, comprehensive solution is within reach: the Megamerge Dissolution Solution. Simply dissolve the border along with the failed Mexican government, and megamerge the two countries under U.S. law, with mass free 2-way migration eventually equalizing the development and opportunities permanently, with justice and without racism, and without threatening U.S. sovereignty or basic principles.
